Welcome to Ross Elementary School

Welcome Dr. Peoples!
Dr. Peoples is our new Reading Specialist.  Her first day will be January 23rd. We are glad she is here!

If the weather outside is frightful…

*If there is snow or ice overnight and schools are closed or delayed, you should receive a phone call from the MNPS call out system. Please make sure we have your phone number if it has changed since the beginning of school.

*If it snows during the day you will also receive a phone call. The call will go to the same number it calls when we send out other messages. If you’re not going to be home during the day and it’s threatening to snow or ice, make sure you check the radio or TV to see if you need to come get your child.

Standard School Attire

Students are required to wear the SSA. This includes khaki, black or navy pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, or jumpers. No blue jeans or cargo pants will be allowed. All shirts will have a collar and will be a solid color (no stripes or plaids). The shirts may be either white, navy, light blue, red, or yellow. Shirts will be tucked in. Pants that sag will not be allowed. Skirts and shorts have to be longer than the student’s fingertips. Students should also wear sneakers.

This dress code will help students stay focused on the things they are learning. It will also make it easier for them to get ready for school in the morning. The sneakers will help keep them safe when they are playing because they are less likely to trip and fall than if they are wearing other shoes.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us do our best for your children
